Rascal's Happy Tail....

Rascal in the backyard
Rascal in the backyard

Rascal was with a family that had 4 children under the age of 10 and was not very friendly with them. The husband wanted to keep him, but the wife didn't like him going after the kids, whether on their bikes or runnning through the house. He was needing to be adopted by a family without human children, which we fit that mold.

It's really been hard to try and break him of his bad habits when around my nieces and nephews, they are under 10. When we're around kids, I usually have to keep him tight on his lead and/or try to remove him and myself from the situation.

He's a very loving dog, very much a beta that pushes our alpha female, Fringie, (1/2 Border Collie and 1/2 German Shepard) to her limits at times. He loves Zowie, our male Sheltie, as they are the same age and almost the same size. Perfectly matched for play time.

He's loving living with us and holds us accountable for walks and love multiple times a day. He's still got issues with kids on bikes, motorcycles and running away. But we love him and keep him safe. He enjoys going to the Dog Paws off leash dog park to play and run with his friends and through the trails. He's a very great companion dog and our family would not be the same without him in our lives. Thanks for all the great work your organization does.

Thanks Again for our four legged "kiddo".
