Foster mom to Izzy, Lucy, Ladybug, Joey, Cesar, Libby, Polly, Sabrina, Ginger, Muttley, Suzi, Felix, Cosmo, Luca, Vinny, Granite (Shadow), Buzzy and many more, Barbara passed away February 4, 2010.

Barbara joined Miniature Schnauzer Rescue in 2005 after the loss of her and her husband Bob's beloved rottweiler, Cowboy. Since that time, she seldom said no when asked to foster, actively participated in MSR events and was always willing to take on the most challenging dogs. Always gently caring for the dogs, Barbara sent each of her foster dogs to their new homes with a St Francis medal for its collar. Keeping a scrapbook of each dog she fostered; it's no wonder many of the dogs' new families continued to stay in touch with Barbara even years after they adopted.

Barbara volunteered not just for MSR but for the Oregon Humane Society and for her church community. When not volunteering, Barbara enjoyed crafting and she and her husband enjoyed many trips cruising the world.

Barbara made a difference in the lives of so many schnauzers. Barbara's friends at MSR are grateful for her friendship and will miss her . . .
